Airbrush Tanning Equipment
Airbrush tanning is being discovered as the healthy alternative.
A nice healthy-looking tan is something many women and men are after, but they don't like the fact that exposure to cancer-causing UV rays are the usual way to acheive it. Perhaps that is why the airbrushed tan is growing in popularity and so are sales for airbrush tanning equipment.
There are many salons around the world that have discovered that there is a demand for airbrush tanning because it is much safer than sun exposure or exposure to the bulbs in a tanning bed. When done correctly, it can be impossible to tell that the tan is an airbrushed one and not one that has resulted in hours of dangerous UV exposure. As prices have come down, quite a few individuals are also investing in airbrush tanning equipment for use in the comfort of their own homes.
The Equipment
When investing in airbrush tanning equipment, there are 3 major components:
• An airbrush gun
• Air compressor
• Tanning solution
A tanning booth or tanning tent is also a useful option to take care of overspray.
The Technique
Once you have your airbrush tanning equipment, you will then need to follow the basic guidelines of airbrush tanning. Those basics include applying the tanning solution in light, even strokes while holding the airbrush gun about 6 inches away from the skin. You will overlap as you go, but not concentrate on one area more than another.
There are various ways you can learn the technique. If you don't have access to an experienced airbrush tanner who can show you the ropes, there are DVDs and other instructional methods that will make learning a cinch. However, make sure you have the right airbrush tanning equipment to ensure the best airbrushed tan possible.

LOL! This is exactly what I was looking for…super cool! It seems like everybody is spray tanning, those hi-watt bulbs are almost as worse as the sun for your skin but I must admit that a spray tan on some skin tones does not look natural.

I have never thought of using a air brush for spraying on self tan. Maybe this will help to get rid of those streak marks!

Airbrush tanning is indeed the thing for temporary tanning without having too much sacrifices; you can even do your own tanning at home.

Airbrush tanning has come a long way. My girlfriend gets it done and until she told me about it I had no idea. I thought she was just going to the beach a lot lol.

Any form of self tanning is better than soaking in UV rays. Air brush tanning looks natural too!

I used to use sunbeds all the time, not good!! But my cousin has passed her test and is now a pro at spray tanning, which is handy as I get it at good price and its not harming me

Solid info. My girlfriend like sun tan and now she have another option to do the tanning and compare with sun tanning, airbrush tanning is more safe. The price is also reasonable and can do it at home:)

Good article on Airbrush Tanning Equipment.
Tanning is a temporary and effective solution with no side effects. Compared to UV, this is a good solution.

Our congress recently approved legislation that will slap a hefty sales tax onto bed tanning services. Does this also apply to airbrush tanning?
This seems to be the healthier and less costly method to get a tan without sun and pain.

Thanks for the luv, much appreciated. I am a fair-skinned girl, so I would look pretty silly with a airbrushed tan. But for those who can rock the tan better than me, there is no better way than a spray-on tan. Say no to cancer, say not to premature wrinkles, say no to age spots! C’mon ladies, do the smart thing.

This is a wonderful information. I’m scared of skin cancer so I always look and opt for something safer than contacting skin cancer. I really think this is the best option. Thanks for sharing.

I still prefer the tradition tanning. But I guess airbrush tanning is better for sensitive skins that don’t take UV rays very well.

Airbrush tanning is a good alternative to the standard beds but I think the process just takes a little to long. Using an automatic spray tan booth like the Magic Tan still produces a good result but its faster.

I tried airbrush tanning and it works best for me. Airbrush tanning is one of the in-demand method of tanning. With proper guidance you will get a good result. It is faster compared to traditional way. Just make sure it is applied well for best results.

I think this is safer than being under the sun for hours. Just make sure that it looks natural not fake and not overly done.

Wow,the major equipments for airbrush tanning are a bit expensive,but all the others are affordable.This applies to Caucasians only and yes,radiation can definitely cause skin cancer.So it’s better this way,people have to innovate something to make life easier.
